The acting was definitely the best part and led by two amazing performances: Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong.
Stan completely becomes the character of Trump
This is the best work I’ve ever seen from Sebastian Stan, and one of Jeremy Strong’s best works (Succession is still his best). He doesn’t try to imitate him, but rather portrays a nuanced performance. In the best possible way, this movie feels like it was made in the ’70s.
The look, feel, and performances really encapsulate the feel of ’70s movies
One thing I really loved about the movie is that it was a genuinely good movie. If you took away the fact that it’s about Donald Trump and made it completely fictional, it would still be a great movie, and the two leads would still give great performances.
